Held between July and August 2025, Australia’s fifth Youth in STEM study surveyed around 3,000 young people about science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
The survey measured young Australians’ understanding and perceptions about STEM and looks at differences to the 2023–24 survey.
Key metrics:
- understanding of the STEM acronym
- interest, confidence and perceived importance of STEM skills and careers
- intention to pursue a career in STEM
- the impact of artificial intelligence on future careers.
