Nik is based at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta.

Nick’s role is to support the Australian Government’s industrial, science and resources policy objectives. He helps to position Australian investment in line with the South East Asia Strategy.

This includes:

• implementing the Electric Vehicle Mechanism Memorandum of Understanding between Australia and Indonesia
• promoting the breadth of Australia’s science capabilities and identifying opportunities for collaboration
• engaging on resources policy issues affecting Australia and Indonesia.

Nik is an experienced public servant and has expertise in supply chains, Indonesia-Australia economic cooperation and financial sector reform. He has previously worked in Indonesia with the Australian Government and International Labour Organization, and covered Indonesia as a private sector economist.
