About the Business Grants Hub

We are one of 2 grants hubs that provide grants design and delivery services to Australian Government.

Who we are

The Business Grants Hub (BGH) is part of the Department of Industry, Science and Resources. We help government agencies to design and deliver grants programs.

We are one of 2 grants hubs formed in 2016 as part of the Streamlining Government Grants Administration (SGGA) program. The other is the Community Grants Hub (CGH), which is part of the Department of Social Services.

We deliver our grants through business.gov.au while CGH grants can be found on their website.

This includes:

  • Executive Board
  • People, Safety and Culture Committee
  • Operations Committee
  • Performance and Risk Committee.

We also have a BGH Governance Committee chaired by the Head of Division.

Our framework and policies

We comply with the Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles (CGRPs) and the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act).

Various frameworks support our governance, including:

  • Governance Framework – describes how we achieve high performance levels while consistently meeting legal and policy obligations
  • Grants Management Framework – outlines what our staff must do to ensure effective grant delivery across the grant lifecycle.
  • Grants Assurance Framework – guides our approach toward grants administration and assurance activities
  • Conflict of Interest Policy, Probity Plan, and Due Diligence Policy – describes how we manage conflicts of interest, probity and due diligence activities across the grant lifecycle.
