This report updates some of the statistics previously presented in Entrepreneurship dynamics in Australia: lessons from microdata. It covers additional years and uses the most recent version of the Business Longitudinal Analysis Data Environment (BLADE).
The updates reveal an upward trend in entrepreneurship after 2013. The share of small young firms from net job creation is increasing, whereas the net number of jobs created by all groups of firms is falling.
