ANZLIC—the Spatial Information Council

ANZLIC is the peak government body in Australia and New Zealand responsible for spatial information. It provides leadership in collecting, managing and using spatial information and data.

Australian Energy Infrastructure Commissioner

The Australian Energy Infrastructure Commissioner receives and refers complaints about wind farms, large-scale solar farms, energy storage facilities and new major transmission projects. The Commissioner also identifies and promotes best practices for planning and operating these projects.

Australian Greenhouse Emissions Information System

The Australian Greenhouse Emissions Information System (AGEIS) provides detailed greenhouse gas emissions data from the National Greenhouse Accounts. Use the interactive tool to see data at the national and state level.

The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) works to accelerate Australia’s shift to affordable and reliable renewable energy.

Australian Building Codes Board

The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) addresses issues relating to safety, health, amenity and sustainability through the National Construction Code Series, and by developing effective regulatory systems.

COAG Energy Council

The Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Energy Council is a ministerial forum for the Commonwealth, states, territories and New Zealand. The Council works to pursue national energy reforms.

Chief Scientist

Australia’s Chief Scientist provides high-level independent advice to the Prime Minister and other ministers on matters relating to science, technology and innovation.

Clean Energy Finance Corporation

The Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) finances cleaner power solutions, including large and small-scale solar, wind and bioenergy. It also invests in more energy efficient property, vehicles, infrastructure and industry.

Clean Energy Regulator

The Clean Energy Regulator administers schemes legislated by the Australian Government for measuring, managing, reducing or offsetting Australia's carbon emissions.

Climate Active

Climate Active is an ongoing partnership between the government and businesses to drive voluntary climate action to measure, reduces and offset Australia’s carbon emissions.

Climate Change Authority

The Climate Change Authority provides independent, expert advice on climate change policy. It plays an important role in the governance of Australia’s mitigation policies.

Commercial Buildings Disclosure

The Commercial Buildings Disclosure (CBD) Program is a national program which requires sellers and lessors of commercial office spaces over 1000m² to provide energy efficiency information to prospective buyers and tenants.

Energy Rating

The E3 Program undertakes activities to improve the energy efficiency of appliances and equipment sold in Australia and New Zealand. These include energy rating labelling, setting minimum energy performance standards (MEPS) and education and training.

Major Projects Facilitation Agency

The Major Projects Facilitation Agency works with domestic and international project proponents to clarify all of their project's regulatory approval requirements. The Agency is the single entry point into the Australian Government for advice on regulatory approvals, through our offices in the Northern Territory and Tasmania.

The National Electronic Approvals Tracking System (NEATS) provides access to publicly available information concerning offshore petroleum titles and applications.

National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator

The National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator (NOPTA) is responsible for day-to-day administration of oil, gas and greenhouse gas titles in Commonwealth waters in Australia.

National Science Week

National Science Week is Australia’s annual celebration of science and technology. Each year in August, there are about 1000 events around Australia, including those run by universities, schools, museums and science centres.

Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme

The Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS) is a star rating system that rates the energy efficiency of a home based on its design. NatHERS helps to make Australian homes more comfortable for their inhabitants and also helps residents to save on energy bills through smarter design choices.
