Innovation and Science Australia (ISA) monitors and oversees a number of innovation programs under several sub-committees.
The committee advises Innovation and Science Australia on the operations of the R&D Tax Incentive for income years on or after 1 July 2011.
The committee provides merit assessments and merit ranking recommendations on applications under the Accelerating Commercialisation Programme and the Incubator Support Initiative. These programs are part of the Entrepreneurs’ Programme, our flagship initiative for business competitiveness and productivity.
The committee also provides merit assessments for the Business Research and Innovation Initiative which supports Australian businesses to develop innovative solutions that address government challenges.
The committee provides advice and recommendations on funding applications, the ongoing progress and performance of individual Cooperative Research Centres (CRCs), and oversees CRC Program operations.
The committee assists Innovation and Science Australia to administer the department’s suite of venture capital programs, and provides guidance throughout the program lifecycle.
The committee assists Innovation and Science Australia administer the Biomedical Translation Fund and provides guidance throughout the program lifecycle.
