About the arrangements
Collaborative arrangements with leading AI and technology companies are a commitment under the National AI Plan.
These high-level arrangements:
- set out clear expectations on how to capture the opportunities of AI, spread the benefits and keep Australians safe
- help position Australia as a reliable and competitive partner
- acknowledge the importance of sustainable AI infrastructure to support Australia’s energy supply and transmission
- support government and industry to progress actions under the Plan.
These arrangements are not legally binding. They do not contain any financial commitments or procurement preferences. They are about signalling intent and building strong, transparent relationships with industry to deliver outcomes in the national interest.
