Professor Staveley-Smith is the Interim Executive Director of the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR).
His research is oriented towards frontline radio astronomical observations with world-class facilities, and preparing the path for future telescopes such as the SKA telescopes.
Professor Staveley-Smith is the principal investigator of the WALLABY survey on the Australian SKA Pathfinder (ASKAP), which is making new discoveries about galaxies.
