Mr Andrew Stevens

  • Extensive background as an international leader in technology and professional services.
  • Expertise in change management, business and ICT program design, risk evaluation, governance and delivery, business transformation, regional and global expansion.
  • Formerly the Managing Director of IBM Australia and New Zealand, Chief Operating Officer at Price Waterhouse and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Dr Catherine Foley AO PSM FAA FTSE

Title: Deputy Chair

State: Canberra

Current Position: Australia’s Chief Scientist


  • Extensive career with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), appointed as CSIRO’s Chief Scientist in July 2018.
  • Expertise in scientific research, quantum physics, sensors, devices and systems, research translation, leadership, advisory and advocating the role of women in STEM.
  • Led the development of a Quantum Technology Roadmap for Australia in 2020.
  • Highly recognised in her field receiving multiple awards such as: the AUSIMM MIOTA prize (2011), Premier's Award for Woman of the Year (2013), Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science and  Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering,  Clunies-Ross Award (2015), the Australian Institute of Physics Medal for Outstanding Service to Physics (2016), IEEE award for Continuing and Significant Contributions in the  field of Applied Superconductivity (2014),  and the Agenda Setter of the Year in Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards (2019).

Prof Raoul Mortley AO

  • Extensive experience consulting in higher education and business.
  • Worked for the Australian Government and the World Bank/IFC.
  • Previous academic positions: Visiting International Professor in the Collège de France, Visiting Professor in the Sorbonne, Researcher and Director of Research in the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in Paris, and nine Australian universities.

Mr Patrick Houlihan

Current position:  Chairman and CEO, DuluxGroup Limited


  • Extensive experience in science, manufacturing and business during 32 years with DuluxGroup – including 9 years in R&D (polymer chemistry) and 14 years as CEO (9 years as ASX listed company CEO). 
  • Experience in both global multinational (ICI Plc originally and now Nippon Paint) and Australian ASX listed (Orica Limited and DuluxGroup Limited) contexts.

Mr Scott Farrell

Current position: Partner, King & Wood Mallesons


  • Extensive career in legal, regulatory and technological systems and infrastructures relating to data, markets, payments and finance.
  • Experienced in design, implementation, competition and policy issues relating to fintech, particularly data portability, open banking, smart contracts, blockchain and distributed ledger technologies.
  • Led the open banking review and the inquiry into the future of the consumer data right for the Australian Treasury.
  • Co-chair of Australian Government’s FinTech Advisory Group.

Ms Sarah Nolet

Sarah Nolet is an internationally recognised food systems innovation expert, the CEO and Founder of AgThentic, a global food and agriculture strategy firm, and co-founder of Tenacious Ventures, Australia’s first dedicated agrifood tech VC firm. Sarah has been instrumental in building the early stage agtech ecosystem in Australia - from advising dozens of startups, designing accelerator programs and consulting to established agribusinesses, to helping industry, universities and government develop and implement forward-looking initiatives in food system innovation.

Sarah is also the host of the 'AgTech...So What?' podcast, and co-founder of Farmers2Founders, a national innovation program that supports Australian primary producers to commercialize inventions and new businesses, as well as gain early access to emerging technologies.

Sarah holds a Masters in System Design and Management from MIT, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Human Factors Engineering from Tufts University.

Dr Alex Grant

  • Engineer, researcher and entrepreneur in the area of wireless communications, connected vehicles and space technologies.

  • Co-founded Cohda Wireless, supplier of software and technology for connected autonomous vehicles and smart cities
