AusIndustry Contact Centre: 13 28 46

The contact centre provides you with simple and convenient access to business information and services from across government. We can connect you to information, grants, registrations and support to help your business succeed in Australia.

The contact centre operates Monday to Friday between 8.00 am to 8.00 pm nationally (closed on national public holidays).

The website provides access to:

  • practical business tools and resources
  • grants and incentives
  • workshops and events
  • business advisers and mentors
  • advice for businesses in disaster situations (for example, bushfires or COVID-19).

AusIndustry Outreach Network

We have offices in every Australian state and territory, including capital cities and regional areas.

We listen to your needs and take a holistic approach to addressing your individual challenges. Our Regional Managers provide impartial, trusted advice tailored to your region.

We can connect you to business information and assistance from all levels of government. With an aim of streamlining your government interactions.

AusIndustry programs and incentives

We design and deliver programs that span our department’s portfolio including grants, tax incentives and tailored advice to support your business at each of its different stages.

Entrepreneurs’ Programme

The Entrepreneurs’ Programme provides you with access to business advisory services and grant funding, delivered through a national network of over 170 industry experts around Australia.

The program provides tailored services based on the stage your business is at, these include:

  • Strengthening your business: helping to make your bushfire-affected business stronger, more resilient and better prepared for the future.
  • Growing your business: improving your capability to trade in Australian and global markets, so you can leverage growth opportunities, and improve your supply chain performance with advice and funding to make it happen.
  • Developing innovative solutions: connecting you with the research sector and funding so you can collaborate on research projects.
  • Commercialising your project: developing your novel product, process or service into production. Making it available on the market with expert advice and funding.

Research and Development Tax Incentive Program

The Research and Development (R&D) Tax Incentive is the Australian Government’s key mechanism to stimulate research and development investment in Australia. It offers a tax offset for companies conducting eligible research and development activities. AusIndustry and the Australian Tax Office jointly administer the tax incentive.

Cooperative Research Centres Program

Our Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) Program supports Australian industries’ ability to compete and produce. We do this by helping you partner with the research sector to solve industry-identified problems in 2 ways:

  • CRC grants support medium to long-term industry-led collaborative research for up to 10 years.
  • CRC Projects grants support short-term industry-led collaborative research for up to 3 years.
