A number of organisations comprise Australia's standards and conformance infrastructure. These are:
- The National Measurement Institute (NMI)
- Standards Australia Limited (external link)
- The National Association of Testing Authorities (external link) (NATA)
- The Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (external link) (JAS-ANZ).
These organisations each have unique roles. Their complementary activities contribute to the national interest and public benefit.
This publication explains the individual and combined contributions of these organisations, and places the Australian infrastructure in the regional and international framework.
