Randomised Controlled Trials and Industry Program Evaluations

Main content area
Publication Date:
September 2015

This report explores how we could use randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and other experimental methods to evaluate our programs. RCTs are familiar in medical and development fields, but less common in industry policy.

This report analyses a selection of our programs, including the Entrepreneurs’ Programme and the Manufacturing Transition Programme, to help identify which programs could accommodate an RCT approach and outline potential design options.
