Australia-China Science and Research Fund–Joint Research Centres
Australia-China Science and Research Fund (ACSRF)–Joint Research Centres (JRCs) are virtual centres that link Australian and Chinese research institutions conducting priority research-related activities.
Our Cooperative Research Centres (CRC) Program supports Australian industries’ ability to compete and produce. We do this by helping industry partner with the research sector to solve industry-identified issues.
The Australian and Victorian Governments are supporting a world-first project to produce hydrogen in Victoria and export it to Japan. The four-year Pilot Project will run from 2018 to 2021 to test the supply chain from Australia to Japan.
Carbon capture and storage has the potential to lower Australia’s carbon emissions. The Australian Government, along with state and territory governments, are investigating several greenhouse gas storage sites.
Low emission fossil fuel technologies reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the power sector and in industrial processes. These technologies include carbon capture utilisation and storage, high efficiency low emission and fugitive emission abatement technologies.
The National Low Emissions Coal Initiative supports the development and deployment of low emission technologies and carbon dioxide transport and storage infrastructure. The program aims to achieve major cuts in greenhouse gas emissions from coal use.
