This year marks an important milestone, with the Prime Minister’s Prize for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Knowledge Systems awarded for the first time.
The Hon Anthony Albanese MP, Prime Minister of Australia, and Senator the Hon Tim Ayres, Minister for Industry and Innovation and Minister for Science, announced the recipients at Parliament House on Monday 3 November.
Guests from across the Australian science, innovation, teaching, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities attended the event.
Ms Rae Johnston, STEM journalist, broadcaster and proud Wiradjuri woman, emceed the presentation. Aunty Violet Sheridan performed the Welcome to Country.
