We are inviting submissions on the practical structures, support and coordination mechanisms to help Australian researchers, industry, businesses and government organisations succeed in the Horizon Europe program in 2027.
Australia concluded Horizon Europe treaty negotiations with the European Commission on 9 June 2026 and is now undertaking our domestic treaty process. From 1 January 2027, Australian entities will be able to apply for Horizon Europe Pillar II funding opportunities.
Our consultation seeks views on:
- how Australia should configure a National Contact Point model that is accessible, nationally consistent and useful for different user groups
- whether targeted support or incentives could help broaden participation, strengthen European partnerships and encourage proposals aligned with Australia's national priorities.
Your views will help inform the implementation arrangements that support Australian applicants to identify opportunities, build partnerships and develop competitive proposals.
