World Expo is an international event that has happened every 5 years since 1851 in different countries. It’s an opportunity for international collaboration and to show each country’s innovation and achievements.

Our department will be contributing to the Australian presence at the next World Expo in Osaka, Japan. The expo will be over 6 months from 13 April to 13 October 2025.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade are leading the build of the Australian pavilion and coordination of its program. The pavilion will host meetings, speakers, seminars, business, tourism and cultural events.

We will be showcasing Australia’s strengths in:

  • science
  • commercialisation
  • technology
  • space
  • manufacturing
  • resources.

This will promote Australia as a partner of choice in energy, resources, science, and cutting-edge technology. It will also position Australia as a global leader and build international connections.
