CRC-P grants support industry and researchers to develop new technologies, products and processes.

Successful projects for round 18 include: 

  • WV Technologies Pty Ltd will develop AI and smart tools to safely erase old IT equipment. It will help keep information secure and encourage recycling. The grant will help this Indigenous-led company commercialise and get global certification.
  • PAF R&D Pty Ltd will create a real-time asbestos detector, AsbestoAlert. Asbestos exposure results in over 4,000 deaths each year. This handheld device will alert users to the presence of asbestos and help prevent exposure.
  • Pan Pacific Recycling Pty Ltd will develop an AI-driven robotic system to automate the recycling of electric vehicle (EV) batteries. This will reduce costs, improve safety and strengthen our circular economy.
  • Gordyn & Palmer Pty Ltd will develop a real-time tracking app, Find my Cow. This app will offer data that can improve biosecurity and support the livestock industry.
