Please note: This form is for the export of UOC (also known as yellowcake) only. If you intend to export other minerals containing uranium or other nuclear material, refer to our page on exporting controlled ores and other nuclear material from Australia.

Gather details for your UOC mineral export permission (MEP), including:

  • exporting company information like:
    • company background
    • staff numbers
    • short bios of executive staff and board members.
  • benefits from current and future operations
  • benefits from the export opportunity
  • details on the project and UOC source
  • a copy of the mining lease or other relevant documentation
  • status of Commonwealth and state approval processes, including environmental safeguards
  • a list of compliant countries you intend to export to
  • justification for how long you require the permission (MEPs for uranium are typically granted for up to 5 years, at the minister’s discretion).
