Joining a department hosted videoconference from a web browser

This guide is for external attendees that are using a web browser to join a department hosted videoconference.

The following steps enable you to join a videoconference using a web browser on a laptop, tablet, or mobile phone.

Step 1

We recommend using Google Chrome web browser.

The videoconference organiser will send an email containing the videoconference link. For example:

https://join.industry.gov.au/

Open the link in your device browser.

Step 2

Enter your name, and select ‘Join meeting’.

Step 3

Give the site permission to access your camera and microphone.

Step 4

Give your browser permission to access your camera and microphone.

Step 5

Preview the camera and microphone, and test the speakers. Select ‘Join meeting’.

Step 6

The videoconference will run from your browser.
