Office of the Special Advisor to the Australian Government on Low Emissions Technology

Led by Dr Alan Finkel, we support Australia’s climate change and emission reduction strategies across government and internationally, including through:

• supporting and expanding technology collaboration with priority trade and strategic partners
• building relationships and engaging internationally, to build awareness and support for Australia’s Technology Investment Roadmap’s objectives, including the Low Emissions Technology Statements
• working with the Technology Investment Advisory Council to find practical and project-based international collaboration and engagement opportunities
• promoting Australia’s low emissions policies and investment opportunities through:
  • keynote addresses at international forums
  • securing support from governments
  • engaging with:
    • technology companies
    • investors
    • business leaders
    • research institutions
• promoting Australia’s National Hydrogen Strategy’s shared vision of Australia as a major global player
• promoting hydrogen and other low emissions technologies via all levels of government
