The GSTDF is a targeted program that supports Australian researchers and businesses. It provides funding to boost international collaboration, commercialisation and innovation with priority partners in key science and technology areas.
Funded projects will focus on Australian Government priority areas including artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing.
The successful projects include:
- AI optimisation of advanced nanoporous hydrogen storage materials manufacturing
- advanced biology addressing antimicrobial resistance in aquaculture
- a manufacturing process of a first-in-class theranostic agent for precision cancer radiotherapy
- AI-driven coastal ocean water quality forecasting for sustainable development
- a machine learning framework for self-organising, low-earth orbit satellite networks
- AI in collaborative robotics for advanced manufacturing factories
- manufacturing physical AI sensor networks through printed nanomaterials
- AI-based positioning technology for lunar exploration
- quantum-grade nanodiamonds for widescale quantum technology deployment.
For these projects, Australian researchers will work with their counterparts in:
- Singapore
- Vietnam
- Japan
- Malaysia
- New Zealand
- Republic of Korea.
The Australian Academy of Technology, Science and Engineering (ATSE) administer the program in partnership with the Australian Academy of Science (AAS).
