Digital immersion for learning and discovery: transforming visitor experience

Workshop encouraging exhibition designers to explore how digital immersion and design can transform the experience of visitors.

Questacon, Australia’s National Science and Technology Centre has 35 years’ experience building and showcasing interactive exhibits. Their Science Circus takes exhibits on tour through regional and remote Australia, and to Japan.

Digital technology has allowed us to expand our exhibits with immersive and interactive elements. This workshop will encourage exhibition designers to explore how digital immersion and design can transform the experience of visitors.

  • Anita Beck
    Anita leads Exhibitions and Indigenous Engagement at Questacon, Australia's National Science and Technology Centre.

    Anita has created engaging exhibits in Australia and Europe for the past 25 years. She uses digital technologies to enhance the visitor experience. Her passion is to build inclusive, innovative spaces that everyone can enjoy.
  • Takefumi Saito
    Takefumi Saito is a producer at Alt Group. He combines cutting-edge visual effects and immersive tech. He links filmmaking and digital design to craft award-winning film, installations, and data-driven media art.

    Takefumi's recent work includes “Human Beauty Landscape”. This work for Shiseido, visualizes the inner beauty of people through emotional and biometric data.
  • Kylie Millwood
    Kylie is part of the executive leadership team at AGB Creative. Kylie works with museums and cultural institutions to bring stories to life using immersive digital design. Examples of these large-scale public displays can be found world-wide.

  • Shunji Davies
    Shunji is a director and co-founder of Junior Major, with Claire Evans and Tom Siddall. Junior Major is a collective of artists and technologists who merge digital and physical worlds.

    This award-winning studio brings stories to life using immersive, hands-on exhibits. Shunji has over 15 years' experience in Australia's leading digital studios.
