Australian SKA Office

We coordinate the Australian Government’s involvement in the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project.

The Australian SKA Office ensures the SKA project will deliver economic, social and other benefits to the Australian public and research sector.

Partnering with the Wajarri Yamaji

We partner with the Wajarri Yamaji to construct an SKA telescope on their Country.

The Australian SKA Office, CSIRO and the Western Australian Government negotiated an indigenous land use agreement with the Wajarri Yamaji for the site of the SKA telescope. The telescope will be built at Inyarrimanha Ilgari Bundara, the CSIRO Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory.
