2.1.3 Dangerous goods

Dangerous goods are substances or articles that, because of their physical, chemical (physicochemical) or acute toxicity properties, present an immediate hazard to people, assets or the environment. The classification of dangerous goods is based on the UN Economic Commission for Europe system. Footnote 3 Dangerous goods and transport are discussed in more detail in Section 5.
