Special Adviser to the Australian Government on Low Emissions Technology, Dr Alan Finkel, pays tribute to Chloe Munro AO.
It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Ms Chloe Munro AO on 22 June 2021 after stoically battling cancer for many years.
I first met and worked with Chloe when she was appointed as a panel member of the Independent Review into the Future Security of the National Electricity Market. Our panel was small and met frequently, the work was intense and important – we bonded. Chloe was the intellectual powerhouse who brought discussion threads together through her wit, her experience and her insights born of masters degrees in business, philosophy and mathematics.
Chloe was deeply principled, with a kind spirit and an infectious smile.
Her work as the inaugural Chair of the Clean Energy Regulator provided a legacy for the nation and a beacon to us all.
