Minister to meet with Kimba community
The Minister for Resources, Water and Northern Australia, Keith Pitt, will be visiting the community of Kimba next week. The Minister plans to meet with community members and other stakeholders in regards to the National Radioactive Waste Management Facility.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the Napandee land myself, discussing work to date on siting the facility and meeting with local community members,” Minister Pitt said.
“The proposed facility has broad, but not unanimous community support, so I will be talking to people both for and against it.”
Minister Pitt will be hosted by the Member for Grey, Rowan Ramsey.
