The Australian Radioactive Waste Agency (ARWA) is seeking expressions of interest for a range of exciting new positions now available in Adelaide in South Australia.

Ranging from policy and technical specialists in radioactive waste through to program and project managers, ARWA is expanding its team to build Australia’s radioactive waste capabilities.

Based in Adelaide, South Australia, surrounded by beautiful beaches and some of Australia’s best wineries, this opportunity will offer a true-blue Australian experience.

ARWA Chief Executive, Sam Usher, himself an expat from the UK, said the opportunity is an exciting prospect for both Australians and those living overseas.

“After being established in mid-2020, our agency is growing and we are calling on radioactive experts from around the world to join our team and help deliver our important program,” Mr Usher said.

“We are looking for individuals who will bring specialist expertise to the agency, and will also develop others’ capabilities, building a first-rate capability in Australia.”

ARWA has a satellite office in Kimba on the Eyre Peninsula, where it is proposed to deliver the National Radioactive Waste Management Facility to consolidate Australia’s radioactive waste in a new world-class facility.

“As part of ARWA you can help us deliver this facility – fulfilling an ambition for Australia which has been a national objective for more than 40 years,” Mr Usher said.

“If you’re looking for your next adventure, and you have radioactive waste experience, this may be the perfect next step for you.”

Relocation assistance is on offer for domestic and overseas candidates, and ARWA will work with selected candidates to identify the best visa options for their personal circumstances if appropriate.
