Carbon capture and storage method: have your say
The Australian Government is inviting input on a draft carbon capture and storage (CCS) method for the Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF).
The ERF incentivises Australian businesses to cut the amount of greenhouse gases they create and undertake activities that store carbon.
The government’s first Low Emissions Technology Statement identified CCS as one of Australia’s priority low emissions technologies. Fast-tracking the development of new ERF methods was a recommendation of the King Review and will help achieve a greater range of low-cost abatement through the scheme.
CCS is one of 5 priority methods being developed in 2021.
Submissions are welcome until 27 July 2021.
