The Australian Space Agency, along with CSIRO, co-sponsored the first-ever Group on Earth Observations (GEO) Week 2019 Industry Track, on 5-7 November in Canberra, Australia.
GEO Week 2019 is hosted by Geoscience Australia. Governments, businesses, the research community, non-profits and stakeholders met to explore the integration of Earth observation data into the global economy.
The launch of the Industry Track strengthened GEO’s linkages with industry. World-leading tech, space and spatial companies connected with the GEO community to discuss sustainable commercial solutions and products that meet regional, local and global needs.
Deputy Head of the Australian Space Agency, Anthony Murfett, officially opened and closed the Industry Track, inspiring discussion on issues and opportunities in the global Earth observation industry.
Many thanks to those who represented the Agency and to those that visited our booth during the week.
