How do you shift the public sector to a model that cultivates a culture that allows for mistakes and learns from them? The ANZSOG and Centre for Public Impact panel talked through the challenges and pulled out a couple of key ideas:
- Beware of performance measures that include measurement, because people will game the system to get to the numbers.
- Changing people's minds is almost impossible - it's better to show a new system that works better that they can get on board with.
