Delivering data differently

Event organiser: APS Data Network, Institute of Public Administration Australia and Public Sector Innovation Network

The panel of data experts told us that data is everywhere, and is key to making good policy decisions, especially in times of crisis. To do that, we need to understand what the data actually means, and have the skills to analyse and communicate it well.

The APS Data Network teamed up with the Institute of Public Administration Australia and the Public Sector Innovation Network to launch, um, themselves. The network supports work on the Data Professional Stream, which helps public servants build their data capabilities and a data profession. This will, in turn, increase the use and usefulness of data in the public service.
