In this presentation Rachel Robertson, an Antarctic expedition leader and best-selling author, talked about extreme leadership, resilience and managing crises. She brought up 3 key lessons she learnt as team leader in Antarctica:

  • No triangles – speak directly to someone rather than speaking about them to another person.
  • Lead without a title – leadership is a behaviour and anyone can do it.
  • Bacon wars are not about bacon – disagreements are often about a lack of respect.
