Our department recognises the First Peoples of this nation, we recognise their ongoing connection to culture and country.
We acknowledge First Nations Peoples as the Traditional Owners, Custodians and lore keepers of the world’s oldest living culture and pay respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
We acknowledge the strategy’s artwork by our employee Amy Huggins.
Artist’s statement: The artwork depicts seed pods and foliage from the bottlebrush plant. This is an important plant for the Wiradjuri people. The flowers attract the budyaan (birds) and the budyaan attract the gadi (snake), which is a key source of food for the Wiradjuri people.
Photos within our strategy have been provided by departmental staff. They are reflective of all employees including members of our diversity and inclusion networks.
