Under the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage (Environment) Regulations 2009, titleholders developing or revising environment plans must consult with relevant Australian Government departments and agencies.
The Australian Government has developed guidance to assist titleholders in determining which departments and agencies the planned activities may be relevant to.
Titleholders must still consult with other agencies, including state or territory agencies, where there are particular agency interests. Titleholders should conduct their own assessment of whether an agency may be relevant.
