Business and management roles

Learn about a career in a business or management role.

You don’t have to be a scientist or an engineer to join the space industry. It takes all sorts of people to run a space organisation.

Support staff are the glue that holds a company together, and the space industry is no different. However, it has the added excitement of working with some of the latest scientific and technological advances.

It takes a lot of different people with different skills to keep a business or organisation running. Human resources professionals find and hire the best people for the team. Reception staff welcome visitors and direct phone calls to the right person.

Office managers organise the flow of mail and deliveries and maintain office supplies. Administration staff file and manage paperwork, write reports and do research. Accountants and bookkeepers keep an eye on income and expenses and provide financial reports.

IT staff keeping the computer systems running and troubleshoot problems. Executive assistants help senior managers organise their days and stay on track with meetings and other tasks.

There are plenty of opportunities for anyone interested in working in the space industry. The only limit is your imagination!
