AI is reshaping the global economy and how Australians work, learn and connect. It can:
- close service gaps in health, disability and aged care
- improve education and employment opportunities
- create secure, well-paid jobs in future industries
- create an environment for innovation.
To remain competitive, productive and resilient, we need coordinated action to seize the potential of AI while managing its risks.
The National AI Plan sets out the government’s direction on AI. It focusses on:
- capturing the opportunity
- spreading the benefits
- keeping Australians safe.
