Innovation Initiatives Booklet
A meeting with Key Industry Peak Bodies was organised in 2009 to provide a mechanism for the Built Environment Industry Innovation Council (BEIIC) to engage with peak industry bodies. The majority of peak industry associations attended the meeting in Canberra on 8 December 2009. From this meeting a booklet has been developed in order to begin the process of sharing stories of innovation across the industry sector.

Industry Speaks Workshop 23 April 2010
An Industry Speaks Workshop was held on 23 April 2010 to engage with stakeholders and key industry representatives. The workshop brought together a wide range of individuals, each with a level of expertise, knowledge and experience to contribute productively to the development of an overarching Innovation Framework for the industry, addressing six themes:
- Green Buildings (Commercial);
- Procurement;
- Tools and Technology;
- Materials and Products;
- Residential Refit; and
- Skills.
Individuals were selected to participate because of their experience and insights in one or more of these areas.
The BEIIC is currently finalising a workshop outcomes report that will summarise key issues and recommendations. This report will be available before the end of July 2010.
BEIIC Newsletter
As part of the BEIIC’s continued industry engagement, an e-Newsletter will be regularly published. The e-Newsletter will provide stakeholders with an overview and update of the BEIIC's work.
